Actome supports life science research and medical innovations by enabling the quantification of proteins and protein-protein interactions in biological samples with hitherto unseen sensitivity and specificity, by our proprietary "Emulsion Coupling" technology translating protein status into DNA barcodes. Innovative personalied health care requires highly sensitive analysis of proteins and protein-protein interactions as biomarkers in smallest amounts of biological samples. Exploring complex cellular interaction pathways and drug target interactions are further eminent applications in research. Our technology solves the problem of highly sensitive, specific and robust measurement of protein-protein interactions in their native environment. Only minute amounts of biological sampels are required (e.g. single cells) and a large number of interactions can be measured simultaneously. With this unique perfromance Actome has been winning several business plan competition awards in 2019 and has been listed as one of the top 50 start-ups in Germany in 2020. We serve our customers by providing assay kits and a bioinformatics software as a service for analyzing the results and to generate publication ready output. The assay kits can be run on exisiting digital PCR instruments to amplify the ligand specific labels. No extra expensive instrumentation is needed! After amplification the digital PCR data is uploaded to the Actome website for decoding the DNA barcodes and scientific analysis of the protein-protein interactions.
