AKKA Martial Arts - Osborne Park
AKKA Martial Arts is the Australian arm of the prestigious E.K.K.A in the UK. Established in 1973, under the leadership of President Mick Blackwell (9th Dan) and Vice President Billy Brennan (9th Dan), EKKA's karate style has been based on the original teachings of Lee Won Kuk and Choi Hong Hi. It reflects their study of Chun Do Kwan and that of Gichin Funakoshi's Shotokan karate, hence the inclusion of both Korean and Japanese terminology and the practice of both Korean Hyung's and Shotokan Kata. Here at AKKA Martial Arts we teach Kids Karate from ages 4 years and above, Adult Karate, Kickboxing and Krav Maga. We also have a Work Place Self Defence team that provide tailored self defence tactics to work places. Learning and participating in Martial arts offers positive benefits of self-discipline and confidence whilst developing coordination and increasing strength and flexibility. A structure of respect is built into martial arts, because of this children especially develop the ability to listen, learn and achieve. Our classes are taught with traditional values of discipline, respect and hard work. We are dedicated to not only producing high quality Martial Art students, but high quality people as well. Gain confidence, respect and discipline whilst getting fit and having fun. Our Kids karate lessons run out of three locations; Osborne Park (Our full time dojo), Mt Claremont and Dalkeith. Kickboxing and Krav Maga are run out of our Osborne Park location. Krav Maga is the most effective self-defence system known to mankind. In fact, it's so reliable that U.S. law enforcement agencies and foreign defence forces around the world have made it their self-defence system of choice Many of our karate students compete in local competitions as well as a select few that are currently representing Western Australia in National Championships.
