German design brand AKTTEM creates sustainable furniture, lighting and living accessories for everyday use, with the ambition to enhance our everyday lives by creating engaging interactions between the object and its users. Founded in January 2018, by Designer Verena Hennig, the brand's name combines the German word „aktiv", translating to active, and the English word „item". Together they are highlighting the core meaning of our company philosophy as well as of our products. Our mission is to create beautiful objects that not only provoke physical interaction and movement but a deeper emotional connection to the world and to each other. These physical interactions that determine how we think, explore and relate as humans – and as a company. By committing to functional and minimalistic aesthetics, AKTTEM's products are an expression of responsibility: In cooperation with leading designers, we create sustainable and timeless objects produced locally with the highest standards of craftsmanship.
