Alpha Rho Chi - Polyidus
Alpha Rho Chi (APX) was founded on April 11, 1914, with the joining of Sigma Upsilon at the University of Michigan and the Arcus Society at the University of Illinois to form a national fraternity for architecture and the allied arts. Our brotherhood unites men and women for the purpose of fellowship and lifelong friendships and our mutual interest in professional development. This is exemplified by the fraternity's motto: Fidelitas, Amor et Artes or "Fidelity and Love of the Arts." Our brothers and alumni study and practice architecture, interior design, architectural engineering, landscape architecture, and related disciplines. Alpha Rho Chi is a charter member of the Professional Fraternity Association (PFA). On April 12, 2014, 100 years and 1 day after Alpha Rho Chi's founding, a new chapter was installed. We, the Polyidus Chapter, at Kennesaw State University (previously Southern Polytechnic State University). The program created here at Kennesaw State University was formed by a group of hard-working and dedicated individuals whose sole initiative was to promote the architectural and allied art studies here at KSU, along with expanding social development and report school-wide and beyond.
