ANGEL AID CARES (A Nonprofit Group Enriching Lives, Inc)
Established in 2000, ANGEL AID (A Non Profit Group Enriching Lives, Inc.) was formed as a fundraising organization by our CEO, Cristol Barrett O'Loughlin. Cristol's family spent decades living with the diagnosis and demise of three of her older brothers—Randy, David and Jared—who passed away at 12, 18, and 19 from a rare genetic disease called Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). As a carrier of MPS II (also known as Hunters Syndrome), Cristol committed herself to raise funds for the National MPS Society (www.mpssociety.org) in the hopes of finding a cure. ANGEL AID was incorporated in 2018 as a 501(c)3 (pending) organization with an expanded purpose to source research, relief and inspiration for families, particularly mothers, living with the day-to-day realities of caring for child(ren) with a rare, genetic disease diagnosis. Supported by family, friends and a dedicated group of UCLA Pi Beta Phi sorority sisters, ANGEL AID has raised over $125,000 through themed fundraisers ~ Wishcraft (Halloween) and Wishes With Wings (Holiday) ~ in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
