Our Mission Statement Anxiety New Zealand Trust aims to improve the recognition of anxiety disorders in NZ, provide treatment and support to people with anxiety related conditions and their families through the provision of high quality clinical services, the experience of service users, and the dedication of support and volunteer staff. The Trust will advocate for funding and support research into the determinants and treatment of anxiety disorders. What we do: Free 24 Hour Helpline - offers intervention, support and education for people experiencing anxiety and their families. The helpline receives up to 12,000 calls a year. Support Groups –Anxiety NZ facilitates four consumer support groups where people can meet others who have shared similar experiences and can make friends in a safe, caring, supportive environment. Workshops – Tailored group workshops for our clients and the broader public on everything from life skills, relaxation techniques, overcoming social phobias through to resilience workshops for children, teenagers and adults. These are given by highly qualified psychologists who are specialists in these areas. Therapeutic Intervention – Anxiety NZ is made up of a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists and Doctors who collaborate to ensure every client is given the best possible care and treatment.
