APIJ (Agence publique pour l'immobilier de la justice)
The Agence publique pour l'immobilier de la justice (APIJ) is a French public administrative establishment that operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Action and Public Accounts. Established in 2001 and renamed in 2010, APIJ is headquartered in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre and has additional offices in Guadeloupe for managing operations in the Antilles. The agency is directed by David Barjon, an architect and urban planner. APIJ specializes in the construction, renovation, and rehabilitation of facilities for the justice sector. Its projects include the management of courthouses, prisons, juvenile justice facilities, and training schools for the Ministry of Justice. With around eighty ongoing projects valued between 10 and 100 million euros, APIJ acts as a master builder and operator, ensuring efficient execution of these public infrastructure initiatives. The agency primarily serves the French government, focusing on supporting public institutions in their infrastructure needs.
