What is bogaziciAI? bogaziciAI is a non-profit community that focuses on recruiting new researchers in the area, developing AI projects, and assisting on-going projects. Our aim is to create a culture that guides people who are interested in the field, but do not know where to start or what to learn. By doing so, we believe that, in a short period, a sufficient number of researchers will be continuously solving advanced challenges in the development of AI technology. How are we structured? As we focus on both recruiting new researchers and conducting advanced research, we designed a mentor-mentee system, in which every member of the community is responsible to guide their mentee while working on the desired tasks given by their mentor. With this structure, we believe that sincere relationships and disciplined learning environment are achieved. We try to eliminate the lack of motivation in "community classes" by maintaining social interaction and attention. How can I be a member? First of all, you are not required to know anything about programming! An admission form will be published regularly. However, to join the community as a mentee, you will be given some tasks. These tasks will measure both your interest and dedication. For you to complete these tasks, lectures and sources will be supplied to you. As you complete your first project, your work will be evaluated, and if you are eligible, you will be assigned to a mentor to develop more advanced projects. What if I am experienced? If you are an experienced AI engineer/researcher, you will be interviewed, and, again if you are eligible to contribute as a mentor, you will be assigned in a proper rank and start your work in the appropriate level. An admission form for mentor nominees will also be published regularly.
