Brasil Mata Viva
BMV is a Standard for the conservation of native forests and sustainable economic development of local rural communities. We originated the environmental assets called Sustainability Credit Units - UCS the Forest Credit which has equivalence with tco2e. Our protocol involves validation, verification, custody and registration processes by independent entities of international credibility, such as Ernst & Young, and a blockchain registration system. It is applied to both public and private areas, and the originated assets already make up equity in investment funds, as well as equity in governments, demonstrated in the National Treasury Secretariat. The Green Treasury known as "Tesouro Verde" is the adhesion by the governments to the BMV Standard, which also involves the institution of public policies to stimulate forest conservation, operated by the platform for offering public and private assets, to offset the environmental footprint of companies and certified by the Sustainability Seal. We are a mechanism for the protection and conservation of forest carbon reservoirs, in accordance with clause 5 of the Paris Agreement.
