BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry
The BRICS CCI (hereafter referred to as Chamber) was founded with the collective effort of a few eminent professionals and entrepreneurs. The prime objective of the organization is to provide a dynamic institutional connection for the promotion of trade and industries, and also to strengthen social, cultural and educational relations among the BRICS countries i.e. Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa and other friendly countries. Of late, BRICS as an economic power bloc, a geoeconomic group, has been attracting substantial media attention. BRICS nations announced the need for a new global reserve currency. The announcement and later establishment with more definitive plans to establish a BRICS-led New Development Bank, to be solely funded by the BRICS countries themselves. BRICS countries have about half of the world's population, one-third of the global GDP and thirty per cent of the world's land area. This bloc also represents different continents across the globe. What do we do? The Chamber shall organize 1. trade fairs, exhibitions, seminars, symposia, lectures and business campaigns in the BRICS countries and elsewhere from time to time. 2. social and cultural functions and festivals, 3. promotion of art and culture 4. collect and circulate statistics and other connected information relating to the economic development including procedures and regulations of each country. 5. assist in promoting technology transfers. 6. provide advisory services on legal and other viable issues w.r.t business 6. facilitate visits of delegations between BRICS countries in all spheres relating to business, industry, education, culture, sports, healthcare, and protection of environment, human rights, women and child welfare, media and entertainment.
