Canusa Paper & Packaging
Canusa Corporation is a diversified paper, packaging and commodities company tracing its roots back over 40 years. Founded in 1981 as a domestic trader of recycled paper products, Canusa has expanded organically and through affiliates into an international commodities trader and processor of recyclables. In 1989, the company began to trade containerboard and other industrial papers for the packaging industry. Today, Canusa Paper & Packaging sources and sells over 200,000 tons per year of packaging papers around the globe. The company is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and maintains sales offices in North, South and Central America. In aggregate, Canusa and it's affiliates now comprise one of the country's largest exporters – most recently ranked the 9th largest shipper by number of containers -- per the U.S. Journal of Commerce. Canusa believes its success is both dependent and integral to the health of the community in which it exists. Consequently, since its founding in 1981, the company has pledged 5% of its pretax earnings to non-profit organizations with an emphasis on the environment, education and services for children.
