Cassiopeia Publishing
When I first started to try and get published 30+ years ago I was frankly not a very good writer: I had interesting ideas but no craft. But over the years, as I've matured as an author, I've realised there's something fundamentally broken in the publishing industry; that it is governed - with some very honourable exceptions - by people who have no interest in true diversity of thought. The diversity of thought that can only be found when one is truly open to ideas from all genders, classes, races, religions, sexual orientations, ages, cultures and the wonderful mix of all of these and other characteristics we find in the modern world. I understand now that I am a good rather than an exceptional writer (though I've got to believe that doesn't preclude me from writing the occasional exceptional novel) but I am good enough that I should have been published by now. So I founded Cassiopeia Publishing to do just that. Not to "self-publish" but to "independently publish" and use my 25 years of business experience to provide not just a vehicle for my own writing but proof that the traditional publishing industry has to change.
