CeCaVa (Tübingen, Germany) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company founded by the global medical device manufacturer B. Braun (Melsungen, Germany) and the genetic diagnostics service provider CeGaT (Tübingen, Germany). CeCaVa’s mission is the clinical development of personalized anti-cancer vaccines which aim to educate the immune system to recognize and destroy the tumor of the patient. The novel cancer immunotherapy targets tumor-mutation derived antigens (neoepitopes) which are exclusively presented on the surface of tumor cells and not on healthy tissues. Vaccination of such neoepitopes leads to a profound immune response of unprecedented tumor selectivity and tolerability.
