Central Swindon South Parish Council
South Swindon Parish Council was established in 2017 following consultation by Swindon Borough Council and existing for a short period as a Shadow Parish Council. The Parish Council has twenty three Councillors, three Committees and numerous Working Groups. South Swindon Parish Council is now responsible for a range of services that were carried out by Swindon Borough Council. These include: Amenity grass cutting and gang mowing Shrub bed maintenance Hedge cutting and maintenance Tree Work (using hand tools from the ground) Floral bedding Sports pitches maintenance Allotment maintenance Weekly inspections and cleaning of play areas Litter picking & general street cleaning (not road sweeping) Emptying of litter and dog bins Graffiti removal Removal of small amount of fly-tipping Cleaning of road signs Fly Poster Removal Our vision is to protect, enhance and improve the assets, facilities and people within the Parish. South Swindon Parish Council are pro-active, forward thinking and committed to supporting residents in resolving local issues and empowering our parishioners to act.
