Colorado Space Grant Consortium
About Us The Colorado Space Grant Consortium is a state-wide program that provides Colorado students access to space through innovative courses, real-world hands-on satellite programs, and interactive outreach programs. We are funded by NASA as part of National Space Grant Program. There are 52 consortia in the National Space Grant program, with one consortium in each state, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. Our vision: Providing an inclusive and interdisciplinary community of Colorado students with experiences in space to prepare them for our Nation's future space programs. Our mission: COSGC uses the excitement of our Nation's aeronautics and space program to inspire, educate, and develop America's future technological workforce by enabling an inclusive and interdisciplinary community of college and university students to participate in space-based hands-on projects, courses, research, and public service activities. The COSGC involves 21 colleges, universities and institutions around Colorado. Each year COSGC engages over 300 college and university students. Many of our members teach space-related courses. The COSGC headquarters is located in the Discovery Learning Center on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Each affiliate institution has a Director who oversees student programs on their home campuses, in addition to faculty, industry, and community mentors..
