CPME nationale, or the Confédération des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises, is France's leading employers' organization for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Founded in 1944, it advocates for the interests of approximately 150,000 member companies across various sectors, including industry, services, trade, crafts, and liberal professions. The organization plays a vital role in representing SMEs in negotiations with French and European authorities on issues such as labor laws and taxation. CPME offers a range of services, including advocacy, international support, and networking. It operates a Brussels office to influence EU policymaking and assists SMEs in expanding globally. With a network of 200 professional federations and 117 regional unions, CPME provides localized support throughout France and its overseas territories. The organization also holds numerous mandates in key institutions, ensuring that the voices of SMEs are heard in administrative decisions.
