Drone Racing Zim

FPV drone racing is a new high speed competitive racing sport type where participants control "drones", equipped with cameras while wearing head-mounted displays showing the live stream camera feed from the drones. Similar to full size air racing the goal is to complete a set course as quickly as possible. Particioants fly drones through three-dimensional courses at speeds. Drone racing is an immersive sport that makes use of FPV or First Person View racing goggles used by the pilots to navigate the course. Racing drones are different from the commonly know Camera drones with more robust carbon fibre frames which makes them 'crash proof.' Racing drones are often modular and are custom built for speed, agility, and performance. Drone Racing Zim is the first and only drone racing community and league in Zimbabwe. Drone Racing Zim aims to bring the E-Sport into the mainstream sports arena and is focused on education around building & maintaining drones as a STEM initiative.
