Drop Engineering

Drop Engineering Ltd. is an Istanbul-based company specializing in aerospace, automotive, defence industries. The company has been firstly specialized on impact and crash test measurement devices. In addition to these, The company develops the mechanical products having enhanced energy absorbing capabilities against impact loads (like sandwich structures, composite and metal alloy products). In addition to testing ability, simulation modeling and engineering analyses are services of the company. In a short definition, Drop Engineering Ltd. has been founded by the support of Ministry of Industry and Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Turkey and has been located at the Technopark of ITU. The working interest can be segmented into three groups: Experimental Crash Devices, Dynamic Engineering Simulations, Composite Materials and 3D Printing. Experimental Crash Devices: Sensor-equipped crash scenarios have been applied for some real cases. Dynamic Engineering Simulations: Blast analyses, crash analysis for the certification of engineering structures have been completed in different explicit solvers. Composite Materials and 3D Printing: Optimized parts for different loading conditions has been manufactured in 3D printers. The polymeric and metallic parts are being optimized....
