Rosswag GmbH is mainly known under the name Edelstahl Rosswag for over 100 years of experience in dealing with metal materials. Founded in 1911, the family-run company with more than 200 employees is one of the world's leading suppliers of open-die forged products weighing up to 4.5 tons, which are manufactured in-house in a holistic process chain. The in-depth know-how in the manufacturing and testing processes is reflected in the high quality of the end products, which are used under heavy loads, for example in the aerospace industry or in energy engineering. With more than 30 employees in the area of quality assurance alone, individual process flow plans are defined in order to be able to meet the specific requirements for mechanical-technological component properties. In addition, after the forging process, the heat treatment or the CNC machining, the products are examined for their quality-relevant properties in the own testing and materials laboratory. Founded in 2014, Rosswag Engineering is expanding its product portfolio with engineering services and innovative manufacturing processes. The incorporation of the additive manufacturing process Selective Laser Melting (SLM) enables the production of functionally optimized metallic components in addition to the forging operation. The know-how accumulated over decades in the field of materials science and materials technology, in conjunction with the holistic, company-internal process chain, serves as the basis for establishing and expanding the future area. In 2017, the integrated production department for additive manufacturing was supplemented with in-house metal powder production for material development.
