Enactus VIPS

Enactus is an international non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators. Present in 36 countries, with over 72,000 students who are guided by educators and supported by business leaders. Established in August 2019, Enactus at Vivekananda institute of professional studies (VIPS) was started to pool our skills & use innovation and business principles to help those in need & create a more sustainable, fair, equal society. With a head for business and a heart for the world, we live our values of integrity, passion, innovation and collaboration. Since our foundation, we have been identifying potential solutions to complex issues and implementing community impact projects. Bringing about change one step at a time, Enactus VIPS has carried out 3 successful projects - Upcycle, Nidaagh and Kalpataru. Seeing nearly 2500kgs of used paper being dumped each month by our college faculty members and students, Project Upcycle was started with an idea of recycling that paper and making useful products of it. We've all got clothes that we don't wear anymore. So keeping this in mind, Project Nidagh was started in which we collected warm clothes and distributed these clothes in slum areas to help them through the biting winters. Pollution is 7 times more in indoors than outdoors. Project Kalpataru mainly focuses on providing air purifying plants along with custom handmade pots made by small potters & painted by the underprivileged children adopted by Pratigya.
