I'm Jess, the founder of Eternal Landscapes Mongolia. Together with Turuu and my small solely Mongolian team we provide local trips of discovery through Mongolia with the emphasis on supporting the local people, community, environment and culture. What makes us different? Our size. We're small. We offer freedom and flexibility and bring a touch of individuality to our trips. Our belief in sustainable travel makes us different too - putting local people and their communities and environment at the centre of each itinerary. We make sure our guests Mongolia experience benefits everyone involved - leading to a more positive and personal style of holiday for everyone. EL is a micro business with the ethos of being a social entrepreneurship. Yes, there's a lot of ‘buzz' words used in tourism as a selling tool so aren't I just jumping on the bandwagon? This is about our responsibility to Mongolia and as a registered Mongolian company, we focus on promoting a greater travel approach to benefit everyone involved, leading to a more positive and personal style of experience for all concerned. As a business working in tourism we have a responsibility to help combat problems including those created by tourism itself. I believe that our philosophy helps create positive social change in Mongolia. There's a drive for modernity and progress in Mongolia and we try to provide a ‘realistic' 21st Century overview of Mongolia. We try to work with what Mongolia already offers - from what's available in the local markets to the skills and knowledge of its people. I am the only westerner and we operate all aspects of the business ourselves including researching, designing and operating all the itineraries without the use of outside agencies or suppliers. Mongolia has made a home in my heart for the last 12 years and although I'm not a natural business woman, my love of Mongolia is genuine and so is my belief in EL. I am very proud of EL and what we have achieved so far.
