Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) is a public higher education institution dedicated to sustainability-focused research and teaching. Established in 1992, it has roots dating back to the Forestry Academy founded in 1830, showcasing a long-standing tradition in environmental and resource management. The university operates under the motto "Creating a sustainable future. Holistically, decisively, and together." HNEE offers a diverse range of academic programs through its six faculties and two institutes, with 174 degree programs available at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctoral levels.
