Flotronic Pumps is a UK Based manufacturer of specialist air operated diaphragm pumps. With a heritage dating to 1981, Flotronic Pumps Ltd became famous for its development of the unique ‘One Nut' pump design, allowing swift pump strip down without having to disconnect the pump from any process pipework. AODP were Traditionally employed in ‘dirty' jobs like basic waste water transfer, emptying sumps and bund-wall applications. The Flotronic "One Nut" pumps are now used in critical process applications, for example pumping aggressive chemicals, transferring foodstuffs and giving constant liquid feeds. Today, Flotronic pumps are manufactured to be used for viscous or thin liquids, with solids or without and for solvents, aggressive chemicals, cosmetics, drinks, adhesives, dyes, foodstuff paints, pharmaceutical. Products as diverse as acids, hand cream, yoghurt and mayonnaise can be transferred. The pumps are shipped across the globe using a network of strategically placed distributors. Both the sanitary and hygienic industries now demand that process equipment can be fully cleaned and fully drained in position. The Flotronic' "One Nut" pump is unique in that it can be completely cleaned in place using up to 7 Bar pressure produced by an external CIP pump without the need to supply any extra bypass pipework to the pump. The "One Nut" pump can also be fully drained of CIP liquids without any manual intervention. We know that customers can often need to move very aggressive materials, with the added problem of often having to do so within hazardous areas. At Flotronic we have developed systems to ensure the safety of staff and equipment under those conditions including offering full ATEX accreditation across our range of pumps. Experience has taught us that every customer has unique and different requirements.
