Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Frimley Park Hospital was built in 1974 to serve a population of 170,000, seeing 25,000 inpatients and day patients each year. In 2009, 65,000 inpatients and day patients were treated and there were 250,000 outpatients' appointments. Soon the local population will reach 400,000 and growth looks likely to continue with more large housing developments. In 1996 Frimley Park Hospital incorporated a Ministry of Defence hospital unit, substantially improving our patient services. In 2005 Frimley Park Hospital became the first hospital in our area to be awarded foundation trust status. In 2009 and 2010, Dr. Foster's Hospital Guide listed Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as one of the top 10 safest hospitals in the UK. Frimley Park has been a consistently high achieving and successful hospital for many years.
