Created in 2004 by the will of the McKinsey & Company Lisbon associates, Fundação Manuel Violante is a non-profit collective person of private rights which develops its activity around the social economy. The Foundation's mission is to guide and empower social organizations by transforming their impact and potentiating their results in the communities they serve. Its activity divides itself in 4 areas: Empowering: Development of empowering programs in third sector organizations' management through the Social Management Academy; Consulting: Elaboration of projects supporting national organizations in improving their performance and impact; Incubation: Creation of Initiative, programs, businesses or social organizations; Knowledge: Construction and dissemination of best practices for non-profits' management. 250 Organizations Involved 187 337 Impacted Individuals 97 Volunteers
