One of Turkey’s first Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects Birecik Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, M.Ereglisi / Trakya Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant and Izmit Yuvacık Dam and Urban and Industrial Water Treatment and Supply Projects in 1995 was the first step in investing which formed GAMA Enerji’s foundation. GAMA Enerji was established based on this foundation in 2002 and has become a business development and investment company operating in local and international platforms in the fields of energy and water infrastructure. The total installed capacity of the Company’s affiliates and subsidiaries licenses in Turkey is 1,117.4 MW. The total water supply capacity is 100 million m3/year. GAMA Enerji shareholders are, GAMA Holding A.Ş., which owns 50.5% of the shares, Tenaga Nasional Berhad which owns 30% of the shares, International Finance Corporation which has a 14.5% share and IFC GIF Holding I Coöperatief U.A. which owns 5% of the shares. GAMA Enerji carries out its activities in all investments with the utmost attention to the environment and human health, beyond the legal requirements. With its corporate social responsibility awareness, it establishes close relations with the local community throughout the construction and operation periods of its investments in all regions where it operates and supports the local community in accordance with the social needs.
