www.gesa.org.au The Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) is the peak body for gastroenterology and hepatology in Australia. GESA administers, promotes and continuously improves the standards of practice, education and research in gastroenterology and hepatology in Australia. GESA is also the chief advocacy group for those working in this field. GESA membership includes professionals dedicated to gastroenterological health and patient care - physicians, surgeons, medical trainees, pathologists, radiologists, scientists, allied health professionals, dietitians, and others interested in the science, study or practice of gastroenterology and hepatology. GESAs annual meeting is Australian Gastroenterology Week (AGW). It is the largest gathering of physicians, researchers and academics in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery in Australia.
