GYP (Guney Yildizi Petrol Uretim, Sondaj Muteahhitlik ve Ticaret A.S.) is a wholly owned independent oil and gas exploration and production company established in Adiyaman, Turkey in 1998. Combining the 50-year-experience of other companies within the group together with its own rapid and dynamic character, GYP accomplished many projects both in Turkey and abroad. GYP is one of the leading oil and gas companies in Turkey involved in exploration, development and production of oil as well as running drilling and oil field services. Holding more than 1,800,000 acres of exploration licenses and production leases in Turkey together with her sister companies, GYP is one of the largest concession holder and operator among the foreign and domestic petroleum companies within the country. Majority of her concessions are located by and/or near the Syrian and Iraqi borders. GYP's administrative office is located in Ankara. In order to facilitate the operation of production leases in the south-east part of Turkey the company has established logistic bases in Adana, Adiyaman and Diyarbakir.
