Happy Stance Yoga Therapy
Why experience matters? Experience matters because only after 25 years of teaching I have created my own unique therapeutic approach to yoga and meditation. It is a crystallisation of all of my experience, study and practice. I call it ‘Happy Stance Yoga Therapy' since balance is the main challenge for all ages, all levels and all capacities. Balance and stability become especially significant as we age. Therefore, the central theme of my newly developed program is to embrace longevity and support healthy ageing. We age from the moment we are born. At every stage of our life, we can optimise the health by engaging in safe and beneficial activities, like yoga. Yoga has been there for more than 4 000 years and it works. Focusing on awareness and alignment of the body, as well as the development of the sense perceptions I encourage a kind, non-judgemental approach for students in relation to their current capacity. My instructions are tailored and modified to each student but they are based upon traditional asanas (poses), breathing methods and relaxation techniques. To name a few, I have studied with Arturo Galvez in San Diego (1997-2001) and Karin Zugck in Stuttgart (2002-2006). My teacher training has been, among others, with Aadil Palkhivala, Ramanand Patel, Ali Dashti, Michael Forbes, Carrie Owerko. My mentor is Carol Clements, the bone health ambassador for the US National Osteoporosis Foundation.
