Horizon Robotics
Horizon Robotics is a global leader in automotive-grade edge AI computing platforms for intelligent vehicles and was the first Chinese company to commercialize both autonomous driving processors and software. The company's mission is "to make life safer and better through edge-AI computing" with a vision to empower every vehicle with its AI computing platform. Founded in Beijing in 2015, Horizon Robotics develops next-generation technology for smart vehicles by integrating hardware and software, including its proprietary edge AI processors, algorithms and development toolkits. Horizon's solutions power advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving and intelligent in-cabin AI applications. It has customized products for key OEMs as well as Tier 1 suppliers, including Audi, BYD, ChangAn Auto, Continental, GAC, Li Auto, and SAIC. The company launched China's first auto-grade edge AI processor Journey 2 in 2019, followed by Journey 3 in 2020, and Journey 5 in July 2021. Horizon's products, including processors and solutions for autonomous driving and smart cockpit, were mass produced for OEMs beginning in 2020 and are featured in several popular car models in China, such as ChangAn's UNI-T and UNI-K, and Li Auto's ONE. Horizon Robotics employs over 1,000 people, over 70% of whom work in engineering and R&D.
