Hospital Central, Instituto de Prevision Social

The "Instituto de Prevision Social" is the National Social Security Organization. It provides both health care and retirement ans disability benefitas to all workers in this country. The Hospital Central is the major health care and medical teaching facility of this system. This is a General Hospital where most medical and surgical specialties are available to the beneficiaries, including family members. The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is part of the Department of Medicine, and is involved in medical care, teaching and research.
