India Lost and Found by Amit Pasricha
At ILF, we make history together! India Lost & Found is a crowd creative campaign founded by renowned photographer Amit Pasricha (@panoramist) that encourages the youth to come together, pool in their talents, and in their own way help preserve the built heritage of India. Our vision at ILF is to create a virtual museum of rich thought, both tangible and intangible, centered around our built heritage. We hope this may help us imagine the pulse of the place, the throb of civilization past as it flourished, and treat our heritage as our ancestry, to proactively protect it. With a network of over 700 volunteers and growing ILF runs several projects under the umbrella Heritage Map of India campaign. Be it mapping heritage sites, researching, photographing, weaving stories about them, we strive to bring back that sense of wonder associated with these heritage site and its attendant inhabitants, be it one as local as a haveli or as monumental as the Taj. ILF also has a knowledge network of more than 300 experts, specialists in their own fields, such as Laila Tyabji, Swapna Liddle, William Dalrymple and more, who add thought value to the photographs of Amit Pasricha. While ILF may be building a Heritage Map, it strives to create a strong community, a pool of young campaigners for spreading awareness. Exhibitions by its volunteers and inter-college research competitions across India, bring together a nationwide community of heritage enthusiasts. At ILF, we have opportunities for all, and that is no exaggeration! From senior voice artists vocalizing Akbar to programmers and animators working on the Heritage Map mobile app, our doors are always open to creators and their creations. Lovers of heritage and culture assemble here to make up a quirky, motley crew of passion driven enthusiasts from all disciplines and domains! Partner & find India with us! It's fun, it's exciting, it's rewarding.
