MSME Industries contribute to 29% of India’s GDP. Post Covid ’19, MSMEs faced a drastic slash in their income and forced to cut operational costs, of which Energy is a vital component. New technological trends in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable development are being introduced in the MSME Sector to optimize Energy Performance and achieve Sustainable growth. Energy Efficiency is treated as a fifth fuel for Energy transition and lean production in MSMEs Kotak Mahindra Bank under CSR initiative, have collaborated with Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for a national level sustainable mission called Kotak – IIT Madras Save Energy Mission (KISEM). KISEM is now expanded to serve MSME industries based out in Madhya Pradesh through IIT Indore with Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy Technologies.
