International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA)
The International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) is a global membership organization of thousands of academics and educators, practitioners and clinicians, students, and others – from over 70 countries worldwide. The field of positive psychology focuses on the study and practice of positive emotions and the strengths and virtues that make all individuals, institutions, and communities thrive. The field has seen hundreds of millions of dollars invested into research, the founding of scientific journals, creation of baccalaureate degrees and masters and Ph.D. programs at universities, TEDx Talks, and reports and cover stories in major news and media outlets worldwide (including Forbes, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Time Magazine, Parents Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, and more). In addition, award-winning books and publications on both the science and practice of positive psychology have been released through publishing houses including McGraw-Hill, Wiley, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, and others – increasing global exposure and prominence. IPPA's three-part mission is: - To promote the science of positive psychology and its research-based applications. - To facilitate collaboration among researchers, teachers, students, and practitioners of positive psychology around the world and across academic disciplines. - To share the findings of positive psychology with the broadest possible audience. In all of these endeavors, IPPA works to create rigorous standards for positive psychology, so that the field always represents the very best levels of current knowledge. If you share in this mission and vision, we hope you will consider joining us.
