Originally founded in Gallarate in 1919 as a small malthouse, IRCA is now one of the finest examples of Italian excellence in the production of chocolate and semifinished goods for the pastry, bakery, ice-cream, and HoReCa markets. Over its one-hundred-year history, IRCA has become a renowned name in the chocolate and confectionery industry, supplying Italy's major food and confectionary groups. IRCA expanded into the ice-cream industry in 2013 with the Joygelato brand, which captured a significant share of the market in Italy and overseas in record time. Inspired by quality and innovation, IRCA now has three production plants and offers customers over 2,000 references developed in the R&D laboratories by a team of researchers using state-of-the-art technologies. The sales network of 300 long-standing, loyal distributors operates in over eighty countries worldwide. Widely recognised for its wealth of expertise, IRCA plans to open a school in May 2018 with courses dedicated to each of the company's specialist sectors: the IRCA Academy is in the brand-new headquarters in Gallarate.
