Islamic University, is situated in the cultural capital of Bangladesh, ranked as one of the top public research and PhD granting universities in Bangladesh as well as the largest seat of higher education in the south-western part of the country. The passing of the Islamic University Act in 1980 conferred this institution the permanent prestige of being the first university established after the independence of Bangladesh. Islamic University is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and to developing leaders in many disciplines (Engineering and Technology, Business Administration, Law, Humanities, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Theology and Islamic Studies) who makes a difference globally.
