This is one of the reasons why local relationships and knowledge are essential to effective data and research implementation models. In-depth localised understanding of specific situations should therefore be harnessed in combination with broader thematic experience, leading to appropriate methodologies being created for stressful, conflict-affected environments. Inclusivity How can communities utilize and profit from research findings? Local ownership is essential when it comes to successful and long-term development programming; Jouri believes this should be no different with research and evaluation data. Communities should therefore be actors, not subjects in research assignments.
