Junior League of the Palm Beaches
The Junior League of the Palm Beaches is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Proudly serving Palm Beach County since 1941, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches develops community partnerships focused on serving children and young adults in the foster care system. Major projects over time have included the establishment and building of Quantum House and the 10,000 sq. foot Fun Zone play area in Gaines Park, the founding of the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium in 1961, and the establishment and facilitation of Eye & Ear Alert since 1968 and Cotillion since 1957.
