Longitude Mobility
Founded on the premise that one unused potentially lifesaving organ is too many, Longitude Mobility is an early-stage company focused on modernizing and radically transforming the way human organs and tissues are transported and delivered to critically ill patients. In 2021, there were an annual record breaking 40,000 lives saved from kidney, liver, and heart transplants. Yet, the number of donated and transplantable organs and tissues continued to decline for the 11th consecutive year. Now more than ever, the market desperately needs efficiencies in procurement, access, logistics, and cost to facilitate organ donation and transplant, more lifesaving surgeries, and shorter wait times. In response that ever-increasing demand, Longitude Mobility is developing cost effective alternatives to conventional commercial, private chartering, and convoluted courier networks to improve viability and access to hearts, lungs, livers, kidneys, intestines, pancreas, valves, veins, arteries, skin, corneas, bones, and tendons. Leveraging innovation and evolving technologies, our objective is to disrupt conventional logistics models that limit the number of successful transplantation surgeries that are dependent on critical elements of timing, communication, and real-time visibility between recovery facilities, tissue processors, and transplant surgeons. Longitude Mobility's mission is to establish and drive the evolution of a fully integrated solution that covers all aspects of the organ procurement process - from ground and flight operations to direct booking - to make organ and tissue transportation quick, safe, seamless, sustainable, environmentally friendly, and more cost effective.
