McLean's Gin
McLean's Gin started life from the cupboard of Colin & Jessica's tenement flat in Glasgow's bohemian south-side. Once best known as Scotland's Smallest Gin Producer, McLean's now produce a diverse range of spirits from their purpose-built Gin Lab on the outskirts of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire in batches of no more than 50 litres. The McLean's range consists of 3 Core products; Signature, Cherry Bakewell and Something Blue; 3 Seasonal releases; Floral, Citrus & Winter Spiced; as well as a varied selection of Limited Edition releases. McLean's love to experiment and Limited Releases thus far include their award-nominated Gooseberry & Elderflower Liqueur; The Glesart; and their award-winning 50% ABV London Dry; Something Clear. They may be a small-batch producer, but McLean's Gin are starting to think big. The key focus for 2020 is on Something Blue; a unique, colour-changing gin created to celebrate the brand owner's wedding on 2nd June 2018 (and aptly named after the poem "Something Old"). A gin like no other, the double award-nominated Something Blue marries the couples 2 favourite botanicals - the tonka bean and the buchu leaf - to create a gin with a flavour profile like no other. With a unique and authentic marketing strategy, Something Blue is primarily positioned at the wedding market, making an exciting addition to the gantries of premium wedding venues, as well as frequently appearing as wedding favours and gifts within the consumer market. Commission for venues can be built into favours and gifts via a Preferred Suppliers Scheme. Owned and operated entirely by Colin & Jessica, McLean's favour close, direct relationships but are listed with a small, hand-picked selection of wholesalers and distributors.
