MPH is a business which designs develops and manufactures trace element fertilisers, biostimulants and other speciality foliar fertilisers for agriculture, horticulture, sports turf and hydroponic markets. It exports half of its production to 18 countries, where customer own-brand ranges of products are tailored to suit local technical and commercial requirements. A subsidiary business Micromix Amenity Ltd supplies specialist products for sports turf. Micromix also offers a formulation and packing service to a wide variety of clients and is a member of the British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association. Micromix is also a member of the Garden Industry Manufacturers Association, Nottingham and Derby Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses. Its specialist AMIX range of humic-lignate enhanced micronutrients are successfuly sold in many countries, and its Multi-N protein enhancer for milling wheat is reliably used to increase protein levels in the bread wheat crop on around 8% of the UK acreage. Many Micromix products have unique properties in reducing plant stress (Proplex) and ameliorating disease pressure (VitAMIX and other phosphites). A foliar Nitrogen programme for broadacre crops is showing promise in early development as is a new combination product to alleviate heat stress in glasshouses. More than 10 new products were successfully tested in 2013/14 .
