National Child Development Council NCDC - India
NCDC is a self -governing national child welfare organization established to promote women and child welfare and ensure child education in India. To promote scientific and psychologically child education on par with International standards and specifications; various recognized courses are being conducted under the auspices of National Child Development Council. NCDC is a government registered ISO 9001:2015 certified national organization working for child welfare & child education in India since 2004. NCDC is also a Participant of the United Nations Global Compact, New York, USA. As the government banned Child, NCDC initiated a novel program, ‘Mother House Project' to create awareness among the public against Child Labor and Child Begging in all the districts of Kerala State. ‘Let children grow as children.' Hundreds of awareness programs are being conducted to impart the message of avoiding child labor and begging. NCDC Kerala Region has been recognizing Medias, media personnel, organizations and individuals engaged in child welfare activities since 2006. Qualitative assessment of the work of the institution: 1. NCDC Kerala Region bagged the Chithira Thirunal Award National Child Development Council (NCDC) Kerala Region bagged the sixth Chithira Thirunal Award instituted by the A S Hameed Memorial Foundation. NCDC was elected for the ‘Ammaveed Project' which was introduced with the aim of curbing child begging and child labor. 2. NCDC Kerala Region bagged the Kairali TV Kathir Award 2018 National Child Development Council (NCDC) Kerala Region bagged the 'KATHIR AWARD 2018' of Kairali and People TV on 7th February 2018 at a function organized at Rajagiri Center for Business studies Hall, Ernakulam for all the services done to the society for women empowerment & Child Education. NCDC Kerala Region received the award from famous actor Bharath Mammootty.🏆
