NOVA Medical School - Faculdade de Ciências Médicas (NMS|FCM) is part of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, established in 1977. It evolved from the Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa and is known for its innovative teaching methods, including the use of audiovisual tools and recorded lectures to support students who work while studying. The school offers an Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine with around 1,660 students enrolled, along with postgraduate programs for 576 students. NMS|FCM has a strong research focus, operating a dedicated Research Campus that includes four FCT-funded units: the Comprehensive Health Research Centre, Inova4Health, ToxOmics, and CINTESIS. These units engage in translational research and health technology innovation.
