AltGlobal Total Return is an investment strategy used by Olson Capital Management's founder to manage capital investment. Its principles were founded on the belief that the dynamics of the Global Markets changed both radically and permanently in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis and a new approach is needed to deliver superior returns. It is the product of 28 years experience trading currencies, interest rates, fixed income, credit, derivatives and volatility. AltGlobal's returns are not linear and are not correlated to equities. The strategy is event-driven. It seeks to capture shorter-term gains from counter-trend moves in asset prices and market mispricing occurring either before a known, or in the wake of an unforeseen event. When it acts its allocations are disciplined and focused on capital preservation.
