OYAK Mining Metallurgy

OYAK Mining Metallurgy is Turkey's global iron and steel producer with its employees, customers, suppliers and shareholders. With around 12,000 employees, we are one of the largest employers of Turkey. At our Ereğli facility, which started production in 1965, we produce hot- and cold-rolled tin-, chrome- and zinc-coated products and plates at international quality standards. Our products provide basic input for sectors such as automotive, white appliances, shipbuilding, pipe manufacture, agricultural instruments, heat industry, electrics-electronics, machinery manufacturing, general construction and packaging, and we lead the development of our country's industry. Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları T.A.Ş., our main company within our group, maintains its status as Turkey's first and biggest integrated flat steel producer. İsdemir, which produces flat and long steel, Ermaden, which operates mining fields in Sivas and Malatya, Erdemir Romania, which produces silica steel in Romania, Erdemir Mühendislik, which provides engineering management services to Group companies, and Erdemir Çelik Servis Merkezi, which meets the sector's need for sized flat steel, are some of the other companies within our group. Erdemir Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., established in October 2014, performs our group's purchasing, marketing, sales and business development activities in the Asia-Pacific Region.Our group, which was incorporated to OYAK in 2006, is one of Turkey's largest industrial establishments in terms of total assets. The OYAK Mining Metallurgy also owns two ports, one in Ereğli and the other in İskenderun, both being the biggest ports in their region.
