Partnering for Progress
Health Care & Medical Training Partnering for Progress built its roots in providing access to healthcare. As the early building blocks for what has become a more wide-reaching mission, health care and medical training remain a centerpiece of the organization. Clean Water & Sanitation It is impossible to address the healthcare needs of a developing community without also tackling issues of clean water and sanitation. Many rural villages do not have access to viable drinking water, and often they do not use sanitary means to dispose of waste properly. These are major contributing factors to the extremely high rates of deadly, yet preventable diseases in the developing world. Health Education In order to improve the overall health of a community, it is critical that the people understand the importance of basic healthcare and disease prevention. Partnering for Progress hosts age-appropriate comprehensive health education classes for children in primary and secondary schools in surrounding areas of each community served.
