"Like his beliefs and former lives, Paul Lock's subjects are demolished and rebuilt again to find a new truth. The fundamental parts are the same but rearranged and changed forever." Paul picked up his first paintbrush in 2012 after a life-changing moment where he realised everything he understood about reality was untrue. Able to see who he was clearly for the first time, he began to be able to see, love and paint others. He uses colour in a brand-new way, to break down and rebuild his subject, in what's now become his signature ‘mapping' technique. Paul lives in Surrey, England with his wife and daughter.
