Peloton Resources Pty Ltd
Since our inception, Peloton have sought a solution to the Global issue of waste "Red Mud" and it has become our vision to commercialise the process that we patented in 2014 ("Deriving High Value Products from Waste Red Mud – PCT/AU2014/000992") to solve this issue. We commissioned a renowned Australian University to conduct an extensive evaluation program of the patent process. The results which we call Stage 1, were extremely promising and based upon this encouraging start we progressed to a Stage 2 evaluation process with Natural Resources Wales (NRW). Peloton's UK based team members worked collaboratively with the staff at NRW and the Stage 2 testing expanded upon the earlier successes of the Stage 1 program conducted in Australia. The Stage 2 program has now been completed and resulted in the successful isolation and extraction of High Purity Alumina HPA (99.9% purity). This is an outstanding result and quite possibly a "World First". The staff at NRW utilising their many years of experience within the metals extraction and environmental sectors, were able to optimise our patented process for HPA production. This incorporated specialised acid digestion, dedicated solvent extraction and trace metal analysis using ICP. The Second Stage testing also optimised the extraction of Iron and Silica. Working closely with our advisors, we are now focussed on commercialising the Peloton Red Mud Remediation Process and the next stage (Stage 3) will see the development of a Mini Production Plant. Although conducting the Mini Production Plant Stage 3 in Australia provides many benefits, we are considering other overseas locations where greater incentives may be available. It is our intention that Stage 3 not only be used to improve the overall efficiency of our process, but it will also be used to produce commercial quantities of our targeted products. These products will be provided as samples to our off-take partners and as saleable products.
