PMAHCC is an advocate for the Hispanic businesses civic and economic interests, providing regional business opportunities for economic development. The PMAHCC is a member of the USHCC. PMAHCC activities include: - Networking opportunities with Pittsburgh's Latino business & professional community - Access to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and other national Latino organizations - Assistance with public contracting opportunities - Brokering discussions with Pittsburgh corporations and elected officials - Educating and advising Hispanic business owners and professionals - Updating demographic statistics and other Hispanic community and business information - Member access to Micro Loans Our Foundation: ThePMAHCC Foundation (PMAHCCF) is a 501(c)(3) organization created to: - Promote the growth of the Hispanic business community in the region, - Provide academic, professional, and technical opportunities to community members, - Participate in charitable activities, including assisting the PMAHCC (the Chamber), in the raising of funds to support the development of programs that will benefit the membership - Promote Hispanic culture, languages, history, and art in the region. Our main project is the Scholarship Program which includes a General Scholarship for Latino/Hispanic students who will continue studies after graduating from high school; and the Rob Vega Memorial Scholarship awarded to a Latino/Hispanic Law School Student who display the same Academic, Familial and Civic qualities that Rob did.
