Plan International
Plan International Zimbabwe has been operating since 1986 to advance children’s rights and equality for girls. We work together with children, young people, supporters and partners to tackle the root causes of the challenges and inequalities that children and young girls face. Our community-driven work supports vulnerable children, especially girls, to confidently assert their rights and influence policy-making at national, regional and international levels. Through strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations and the government, we reach the most marginalised children, especially girls. We operate in 10 provinces of Zimbabwe. Our ambition is ‘By 2030, we are unique, innovative, known and recognized as the leading child rights-based organization in Zimbabwe, delivering proven impact for the most vulnerable, especially girls and young women’. Plan International Zimbabwe has set an ambition to reach directly 4.5 million children (2.5million girls, 1.5million boys) and 500 000 young people during the implementation of this CS. Our CS goal is to: ‘Contribute to reduced adolescent pregnancies and child marriages in Zimbabwe.' This will be supported by the following strategic priorities: -Protection from Violence - Adolescent & Young People Sexual and Reproductive Health -Youth Economic Empowerment - Access to inclusive, quality, equitable and transformative education
